I started as a musician -- music was my first passion and will probably be my last. I first became interested in lighting when I was in the 4th grade watching the overhead striplights being flicked on and off at the circuit breaker backstage. I didn't know it then, but that fascination would eventually give birth to a bountiful discovery -- Lighting Design.
Lighting and music are forever entwined in me as they are in reality. The chords in a song can unleash rivers of color in our minds, and a sequence of cues can sing us into romantic contemplation. Whether happy or sad, dramatic or comical -- these mediums exist to create moments, reveal beauty, and perhaps even teach us something about our humanity. Through education, diligence, and a commitment to my craft, I continue to strive for this revelation in each project I persue.
